This toothpick ‘pro’ version from FullspeedRC is a pretty awesome upgrade ! It is still a 2.5inch quad (2.5 mm frame !) but now with 1106 motors and 4S support !!
I took a lot of pleasure to flight this new quad from FullspeedRC. It is a BNF version and already well tuned and configured quad. I used it with 3S and 4S LIPO, and it is pretty amazing. The 4 65 blades props bring to it so much stability and speed. If you are looking for a toothpick BNF right now you can get it, you will not be disappointed !
In their previous version of the toothpick, I said few things that were not optimal for a toothpick, like the frame. So FullspeedRC fixed that and brings a lot of new features. Moreover I liked the fact that you don’t have do nothing out of the box to use it (except binding the receiver and plugin the 4S LIPO). Let’s see that in the review !
The frame is now a wheelbase of 120mm cut in a 2.5mm carbon. This frame is really strong and durable, and can be also perfectly used in other builds.
You can use 11XX motors and 16×16 stack frame.
The whole build (without battery) will be 65g.
The canopy is in TPU and cover correctly the camera to protect it (and to adjust correctly the angle). The shark fin helped a lot to use the turtle mode and to absorb the impact for some crashes. The canopy will not protect at all the FC/ESC/VTX, so it can be cool to see some improvement. But this canopy is available on thingiverse so it really a plus.
I have not seen this props before the toothpick version and I must admit that I like them. It is 4 blades rotorX props from Gemfan. They are pretty efficient on 3S and 4S, even on full throttle.
So it is the F412 stack that support 2-4S (be aware that in this version the motor can’t handle 4S), for 4.3g, and it is a MATEK411 target in Betaflight (a yaw degree of 270 is mandatory in Betaflight due to how the stack is mounted). The ESC can handle 1-4S and can support up to 12A per esc (and 15A on burst).
It is the same FC/ESC as for the non pro version, and I have use it mainly on 4S on many flights. This stack handle perfectly high voltage without issue right now.

The motors are FullSpeedRC 1106C2 4500kv. These motors support 2-4S without any problem. I tested them a lot and as usual they are strong and durable, like the 1103 for the non pro version. They added some glue to maintain the wire at the base of the motor.
The camera is as usual the Caddx Micro F2. it is a good camera except that sometimes it can be confused with the red color.
The VTX is the TX600 from FullSpeedRC. It support 25mW up to 600mW on all 48 channels (and raceband) and IRCtramp. To be honnest I have used their VTX since a long time and the ration price/quality is one of the best in the market today.
The only thing todo is to unlock it to support all channels with a long press on the vtx button at startup (long press than 20s) and unplug/plug the battery.

To be honest I have been impressed with the quality and how Fullspeed prepared this quad. It is fast, strong and durable. You can have a real powerful toothpick by using the 4S and it is really a huge difference of power between 3S and 4S. I thought that 4S could be too much for this category or flight time will be reduce, but it is not really true. I can have long flight on 4S (4/5min) without any problems.
You can see in the video I did in the top of this article that you will have no washout (even on 4S) and the quad is really stable.
You don’t have anything to do except to bind your receiver. That’s all !
But you will need to choose a light LIPO to have the best flight time and power at the same time. So I did a quick list of one that you could use.
You will be able to choose your BNF with multiples different receivers: FrSky (D8), FlySky, DSMX and TBS Crossfire (nano).
