1204 motors are coming, you know that 🙂 This time it is from BetaFPV: 1204 / 5000kv motors.
Recently I reviewed the rcinpower motors and I was impressed by the control and the speed of these news motors.
In this article, I reviewed the motor from BetaFPV to see how they performed, and to be honnest, they are pretty good !
The design of this motor are really beautiful. This blue and black colors are really nice.
- Height: 15.4mm
- Weight: 5.9g (1 pcs)
- Shaft: φ1.5mm
- Motor Mount Holes: M2EQS on Dia 5.0mm
- KV (rpm/V): 5000
- Input Voltage: 3-4S LIPO
- Plug and cables: Micro JST-1.25 3-pin connector with 28AWG cables (5000KV)
So yes this motor are with motor pins, but well to be honnest you can cut that directly if you prefer.
So yes, this motor are not yet 2mm shaft like the motor from Kabab but probably later.
The wire used is much more bigger compared to the rcinpower, and better quality at a first look.
The magnets are less strong compared to the rcinpower.
With 5.9g they are exactly in the same weight of the rcinpower motors too. The bell seems super strong and durable and only one c-clip at the bottom.
The mount is standard so it will fit (9mm) for all classic toothpick/twig frames right now.
So to test them, I did a build with the TWIG frame:
And a classic FC AIO 12A (NamelessRC/BetaFPV), and I used the super tiny racewire led from taco-rc. this racewire are so tiny and can handle 2/3S motors. Moreover they are super cheap (2.99$ for 6pcs, and you have different colors).
For the props, I used the HQProp T3x2, one of the best prop for light 3 inch right now.
I recorded a flight on the led race track. As you could see they are pretty powerful on 3S (GNB 3S 300mah LIPO). I don’t feel any big difference between the rcinpower, it sounds like the same motor a little bit.
These motors offer a great control on 3S even on high throttle. It is smooth and precise too.
If you are looking for 12XX motos for your Toothpick/Twig build, you can buy directly these motors without any problem.
13.99$ each motor or 52.99$ for 4 motors, yes they are not cheap but clearly high quality.
