After my review of the R3DWHOOP ION
I continue with the R3DWHOOP 4K. It is mainly a frame to perform cinewhoop video with the latest camera like the tarsier 4K.
The frame is also in the same 3D printed material like for the R3DWHOOP ION. It is strong and flexible. This frame is done in multiple parts and assemble together.
The frame will support 16x16mm/20x20mm or the standand fc whoop board with 25x25mm.
There is also a 20x20mm mounting holes for the board of the camera (mainly HD).
The space is really tiny to put the boards of the Tarsier 4K, so take your time to do this build, because it will require a little bit of skills to do it.
There is 2 types of mounting holes for the motors that allow you to put any 06/08/11XX inside. The props are protected by turtle guard, and you can go up to 40mm.
For the camera the tarsier 4K can be fit in the place correctly but unfortunately I can’t change so much the angle due to the ribon cable between the camera and the board 🙁
Between the camera and the board of the camera, you will find some space to put any 2/3 LIPO and hold them via the TPU. I’m not a super fan of this TPU to hold the LIPO, I found it a little bit to manipulate but if it is done correctly the LIPO will not move.
I did a build with the following elements:
- HappyModel 1102 8700KV
- Any FC up to 12A
- Caddx Tarsier 4K
I recorded a simple flight during night to show how it renders. It seems to work, no jello at all which is a great point with such build !
