Review: Eachine Tyro89 – Good and cheap DYI toothpick !

The Eachine Tyro89 is a DYI 115mm toothpick (72g). To be honnest, people are interested by the price of this one, because for 89$, you will have a full 2.5 inch toothpick. But for that, you will need to build it yourself ! Is it good ? Let’s do a tour !!

Here a picture of all elements that you will get:

You will find a ton of tutorial on youtube to build this by yourself. Even if you are a beginner, it is really not difficult, take your time, get good tools and everything will be ok.

The frame is a 3 mm thick, so pretty enough to handle crash, even if it is a unibody one. It is not super high quality carbon, but it will do the job for this price.

Motors are 1204 6000KV from Eachine, and not bad at all. They will provide the necessary trust on 4S in order to have a lot of power.

For that Eachine added their classic combo ESC/FC to handle up to 20A.

The canopy is not super fragile and doesn’t provide so much space for your receiver, so take care to get a tiny one, because it is a PNP drone.

The Caddx EOS2 camera is really not the best one here, but probably the cheapest one !

Too bad that they added a 25mw VTX inside because it will reduce the scope of this drone.

But the main interesting point is how it flight ? Well pretty well to be honnest, outdoor or indoor it is a ripper on 4S !!

Is it interesting ? Yes if you have a limited budget or a beginner that would like a first good 4S drone. It is super speed, so take care !!
